The shade may be plain or pleated. The lamp base is simple and elegant, not textured, sometimes the smooth wooden antique look, or a traditional cylindrical shape, or ornate antique style brass. Cushions on the bed match the bedspread or certainly harmonise with it and are very structured and formal. Often there will be no cushions at all. Paintings are realistic scenes, flowers, animals, or portraits.
They are elegant artworks rather than contemporary abstracts. Picture frames are antique, silver, or timber with clean, elegant lines. It is very common to find framed family photos in a Classic’s bedroom.
Mirrors are timber, either antique or smooth dark timber. Crystal dressing table sets and matching brush and comb sets are typical traditional Classic accessories. Ornaments in the form of collectibles, placed perfectly in groups on the dressing table or chest of drawers are also typical.
