THE QUESTION OF BREAD – A SOLUTION 2

On account of this definite link between white bread consumption and poor dental health, I decided to bring out a natural bread, called ‘Risopan’. It is, in content, comparable to the bread eaten by primitive peoples, being made of whole rye, wheat, barley, rice bran and rice germ for the sake of their richness in vital minerals. Unfortunately, for the most part, we are used to eating refined white rice instead of the whole brown rice and it is advantageous to compensate for the deficiency somewhat by means of bread that contains all its nutritive substances. ‘Risopan’ is prepared in accordance with the principles I have just outlined. The grain is ground in a stone mill and the flour is immediately made into a dough and baked. It keeps very well and is most suitable for taking on long journeys. The new Vogel wholegrain flake bread is also made in a similar way to ‘Risopan’.

It would be a good thing if other wholegrain or wholewheat bread were always made according to the same natural method. If you eat such bread year in and year out, it is reasonable to assume that your body will benefit greatly from it. Remember that nature is not guided by our palates, moods and appetites, but works according to its eternal laws. If we ignore or reject nature’s dictates, we will have to suffer the eventual consequences, or at least our children will. So make sure to serve nothing but good and wholesome bread. It alone is the foundation of natural and healthy nutrition.
